Pupils’ perceptions of the history curriculum.

The paper reports on a small scale study into children’s perceptions of the history curriculum at Key Stage 2, 3, and 4. What do young people think of history in school today? Does history help to develop a sense of national identity? Is history contributing to modern citizenship education? What can pupils tell us that will help historians understand the impact they are having on young people today?
